Before us stands one of the most anticipated fights of the year — a bout fueled by bad blood and controversy. A clash where iconic boxing history meets again: Eubank vs Benn.

The build-up to this fight has been a treat for boxing fans. However, I don't believe this is purely for entertainment — I think we're witnessing calculated mind games from both fighters. Eubank is trying to push Benn's buttons, while Benn appears to respond, possibly playing a clever game of "possum." As we know, boxing is a game of chess, and the psychological battle often begins long before the contracts are even signed. This fight was originally scheduled to happen three years ago — now, everything will finally be settled.

Stylistically, it’s expected that Conor Benn will start fast, bring the aggression, and use his speed and the smaller ring size to his advantage. I believe Eubank, on the other hand, will begin more cautiously — staying on the back foot, using his jab, and looking to clinch early so Benn can feel the size and strength difference. Eubank will likely work Benn’s body to slow him down, aiming to take over as the fight progresses into the later rounds.

Another big factor will be the weight cut. It will be fascinating to see how it has affected Eubank — whether any signs of struggle will show on fight night. Eubank is known for being an extremely disciplined athlete who trains year-round and always shows up in phenomenal shape, so any issues won't be down to lack of commitment. But we've seen in both boxing and MMA how brutal weight cuts can leave lasting effects in the ring. Benn will surely try to exploit that early on. However, Eubank’s experience could allow him to anticipate and neutralize Benn's intentions. It will all come down to whose game plan is executed better on the night.

We’re on the cusp of a truly great fight. Both men have left no stone unturned and are ready to put on a fantastic display for the fans.
